About

Katlyn has a B.A in Art Education, taught art in the public schools for 3 years, and has been creating art since she was able to hold a pencil. She built a non existing art program for her Middle school, starting with 6th grade visual arts. Each year she added more and more to the program that included; intro to visual arts, advance classes for photography, 2D art, 3D sculpture, and ceramics. She also started an after school art club and recycling program. Her drive to develop different art avenues didn’t stop there. After her 3 years in the school system she decided to start her own art businesses. Uniquely Clever mobile art provided art classes, parties, and events for kids and adults. Once started with an old school bus as her mobile art studio she then turned around and renovated the Creative Cruiser (mobile box truck) to be the final traveling art studio! Her artworks, body painting and murals umbrella under Au Naturel Artistry. Katlyn has worked with many mediums throughout her art career, she enjoyed artworks that experimented with recycled items, drawing, painting, mixed media, and clay.

Experimenting with medias and surfaces allowed her to find her voice. Finding herself drown in daily struggles as a women, she realized she needed a connection, to not feel alone, and to really help her sisters to rise! She slowly started meeting more people through her business and found a connection to these female entrepreneurs. They talked about the struggles of being a small business, being a mom, a woman, and just life’s worldly issues. She found her art can voice her opinions and emotions in hopes that whomever views it, finds an uplifting power and a realization that they are not alone in this.

“I’m lucky to have a wide range of knowledge in different art forms! I love jumping from drawing on paper to painting on windows and people! I am continuously learning new skills each year and always finding something new to dabble in!”
