Caring and Sharing Mural

I was working on the art bus getting some sip&paint party projects created when I had a lady pull up in the drive to talk with me. She wanted to see about setting up a consultation for her boss running the Caring and Sharing store in Defuniak Springs. I was super excited to for a larger scale painting project!

I am a big shopper at local thrift stores! I love repurposing items for my home and artworks! Now every time I go to check out the store I can see my artwork displayed on the exterior wall!

I was asked to paint an Instagram worthy mural for Caring&Sharing of North Walton on hwy 83! She wanted simple angel wings and a bible verse. Wings have been a big theme in the past few years.

It was challenging to paint an exterior wall that faces the sun and heat. If you don’t know, the paint will literally dry within seconds after applying! I love blending and the heat was not about that life. I became a pro at laying a layer of color next to each other and blending before the sun tried its hand! Man, it turned out awesome! I love the textures of the feathers. I was told it could be simple and didn’t have to be detailed, but I couldn’t just let this opportunity to layer tones and textures go to waste!
